| How has Latin American literature been articulated since Ricardo Piglia and Roberto Bolaño? In the 21st century, a new generation of writers appeared renewing literary forms and reflecting on the structural changes in their countries after the fall of the Left, symbolized by the fall of the Berlin Wall, and in the consolidation of neoliberalism in Latin America. Starting from the dialectic Bolaño / Piglia, that is to say from the writer in exile and / or in the Academy, I will review the new Latin American fiction in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Mexico that discusses the remains of a leftist ideology and proposes some formal experimentation for its own writing. From the fetishization and nostalgia of the ideology of the Left to the reconstruction of a post-dictatorship middle class, these texts reflect from fiction and essay the possibilities of the Latin American narrative in the 21st century. |
