Memoria gráfica arquitectónica del Recinto Ferial de Albacete

Abstract

El conocimiento del patrimonio arquitectónico, base de su conservación y posible reutilización, precisa de una completa definición gráfica presente y pasada. Para ello, es imprescindible investigarlo mediante las herramientas propias de la disciplina: el dibujo y su construcción. Sin embargo, el estudio de los proyectos arquitectónicos, en ocasiones imprecisos, incompletos o extraviados, es insuficiente y hacen necesaria su interpretación a través de la información contenida en las fuentes disponibles. El trazado de su historia se construye, necesariamente, a través del delineado por etapas significativas. En esta investigación se define el método para elaborar la memoria gráfica arquitectónica de un edificio patrimonial a través de sus levantamientos, siguiendo el ejemplo del edificio del Recinto Ferial de Albacete. Asimismo, se expone como parte de los trabajos realizados dentro de la Tesis Doctoral presentada sobre el conjunto arquitectónico, pudiendo servir como modelo para situaciones afines.

Knowledge of architectural heritage, which is fundamental for its conservation and possible reuse, requires a complete past and present graphic definition. In order to achieve this, it is essential to carry out an investigation employing the tools of the architect’s trade: drawing and building. However, studies of architectural projects, which are on occasion imprecise, incomplete or misplaced are insufficient and make interpretation using information from any available sources a necessity. The timeline of the project’s history is necessarily constructed from its changing outline through significate periods. In this study, the method for producing the graphic record of a heritage building from its drawings and plans is defined, following the example of the Albacete Exhibition Enclosure. This, in addition, is put forward here as part of the work carried out within the Doctoral Thesis presented on this architectural ensemble, which may serve as a model for similar such buildings.
