Abstract: 
Durante el reinado de Trajano se emitieron monedas en honor de la emperatriz Plotina que, en algunos casos, llevaban la imagen de Vesta como motivo de reverso. Esta vinculación entre ambas figuras se realizó a partir del desempeño del sexto consulado del Príncipe, coincidiendo con la preparación y la realización de la guerra oriental. Sin embargo, la idea se encontraba ya en los primeros años de su gobierno, cuando Plinio ensalzaba en el Panegírico la figura de Pompeya Plotina como un modelo de las virtudes que las élites romanas consideraban propias de la condición femenina y que la numismática trasladó unos años después en forma de asociación con la diosa Vesta.
During the reign of Trajan some coins were issued with the image of Vesta on the reverse, in honor of the Empress Plotina. The link between both figures appeared at the Emperor's sixth Consulate, coinciding with the preparation and development of the Eastern war. However, the concept was already presented in the first years of his Government, when Pliny praised in the Panegyric the figure of Pompeia Plotina as a model of the virtues considered characteristic of the female condition by Roman elites. A few years later, this link was on the coins too.
