Abstract: 
A partir del hallazgo acuático de un casco en el nacimiento del río Avión, se reflexiona sobre la naturaleza de tal ofrenda y las características del lugar. Los resultados permiten considerar este episodio dentro de una dinámica general de culto a las aguas mediante ofrenda de armas, que podemos caracterizar como de ascendencia protohistórica, y, además, que el sitio seleccionado para dicha ofrenda tiene también unas claras implicaciones sacras, como lo evidencia su comparación con otros lugares afines.
The discovery of a helmet in the waters of the river Avión, we reflect on the nature of such offering practices. We considered the relation with the site characteristics. The results allow us to consider this case as paradigmatic of the general dynamic of offering weapons to water. The tradition can be characterized as protohistoric and increases it’s meaning by the site selected for this offering with sacred clear implications. This paper compares this discovery with other similar places.
