Abstract: 
Las asociaciones católicas femeninas han sido escasamente tratadas por la historiografía española. Este trabajo analiza la evolución de la rama femenina de la Acción Católica, cuyas integrantes experimentaron en los años sesenta profundos cambios en su formación, que condujeron a una revisión de sus planteamientos religiosos, de género y políticos. Aunque ya se conoce el proceso que afectó a los sectores católicos más avanzados alejándolos del franquismo y de la jerarquía eclesiástica, no se había tenido en cuenta el papel desempeñado por las Mujeres de Acción Católica. Aun con sus limitaciones, tomaron la palabra en una Iglesia que hasta entonces les había relegado a un segundo plano, cuestionaron con su discurso y con su práctica el modelo católico femenino subordinado y contribuyeron a la difusión de valores democráticos.
The feminine Catholic assoctations has been barely studied by the Spanish historiography. This paper analises the evolution of the feminine branch of the Catholic Action, whose members experienced deep changes in its formation in the sixteen years, that they lead to a revision of their religious, gender and political positions. Although is already known the process that affected to the most advanced Catholic sectors taking them away from the Francoism and the church hierarchy, it was not studied the paper played by the Women of Catholic Action. Even with their limitations, they took the word in a Church that had relegated them to a second plane, they questioned with their speech and practice the Catholic feminine subordinate model and they contributed to the diffusion of democratic values.
