Abstract: 
En este texto se presentan cuatro concepciones de la jurisdicción entendida como una práctica — la actividad de juzgar— y se analizan los rasgos dominantes de sus respectivas maneras de entender la racionalidad de esa práctica en el conjunto del Derecho.
In this text are presented four definitions of adjudication understood as a practice –judging activity- and are analyzed dominant features of their respective ways of understanding rationality of that practice in Law’s body.
