Imaginario sobre la intervención ante el bullying bifóbico en trabajadores/as sociales gallegos

Abstract

La violencia representa una conducta fuertemente arraigada en la sociedad debido a diferentes factores. Una de las formas en las que puede materializarse es a través de la violencia entre iguales en el ámbito educativo (bullying), siendo la orientación sexual uno de los factores determinantes. La intervención social, en este tipo de violencia, resulta un aspecto esencial y comunitario. Es por ello que se plantea una investigación cualitativa, partiendo del paradigma fenomenológico (con una perspectiva epistemológica subjetivista y teórica interpretativa), con el objetivo de analizar el tipo de intervención y los principales aspectos sobre los que incidir. Para ello, mediante la técnica de la entrevista abierta, se plantea la resolución de un caso sobre bullying bifóbico a 14 trabajadores/as social gallegos (8 de los Servicios Sociales Comunitarios Básicos, 3 de los Servicios Sociales Especializados y 3 del ámbito público de la Salud) seleccionados a través de un muestreo por conveniencia. Los resultados revelan que el empoderamiento, el uso de lenguaje no estigmatizante y heteronormativo, así como el fomento de redes, el conocimiento de la realidad social y la vinculación con los colectivos LGTBI por parte del Trabajo Social son determinantes. También las medidas tanto micro como macrosociales se muestran esenciales, así como la utilización de la pedagogía social y la transdisciplinariedad.

Violence is a behavior that is strongly rooted in society for different reasons. One of the ways in which violence can materialize is in the educational sphere (bullying) among equals, with sexual orientation being one of the determining factors. Social intervention in this type of violence is an essential response of the community. This community aspect necessitates a qualitative approach to this phenomenon, starting from a phenomenological paradigm (with a subjectivist, epistemological perspective and interpretive theory), in order to analyze the type of intervention and the main aspects upon which it seeks to act. This study uses open-ended interviews with 14 Galician social workers to study the resolution of case of biphobic bullying (eight worked in basic community social services, three in specialized social services and three in public health). The social workers were selected through convenience sampling. The results reveal that empowerment, the use of non-stigmatizing and heteronormative language, as well as the promotion of networks, the knowledge of social reality and the link with LBGTI groups by social workers are determining factors. Both micro and macrosocial measures are essential, as is the use of social pedagogy and transdisciplinarity.
