| Some novels and essays by Luis Landero show that historical memory, understood in its original sense, is composed of personal and collective histories, and that these are part of the Tradition. In the case of the author, these concepts adopt literary life in much of his work, which he composes from an important autobiographical substrate. The recovery of memory for Landero represents a vital return to his youth, to his Extremadura origins, to the rural tradition and to the oral story. As Landero prefers to excite and suggest rather than expose and argue, the recourse to classical evidentia encourage the credible and, intentionally, realistic interpretation of the self-fictional elements of his creations. |
