Abstract: When a reverse osmosis process takes place, the build-up of a polarization layer occurs due to both convective and diffusive forces. Once the process ceases and no driving force is applied, this polarization layer disappears as a consequence of a diffusion process. This disappearance can be studied by means of holographic interferometry.
