Autorretrato: identidad y reflexión en el arte de la región de Murcia

Abstract

Esta investigación se adentra en la colección de arte de la Región de Murcia, catalogando y analizando las obras pertenecientes a la tipología del autorretrato que se conservan. Hasta un total de trece obras de este tipo posee la Comunidad Autónoma, quedando en la mayoría de los casos alejadas del espectador al estar situadas en dependencias oficiales. Las obras estudiadas comprenden a algunos de los principales artistas murcianos del siglo XX, a las que se suman el autorretrato de Antoni Tàpies y el de Bene Bergado adquiridos por el ente regional. Las obras analizadas son un fiel reflejo de las diversas funciones que puede cumplir el autorretrato dentro de la Historia del Arte.

This research work gets inside the art collection of Region of Murcia, cataloguing and analyzing all the works that belong to the self-portraiture typology. Up to thirteen works are preserved by the institution, staying, most of them, far from viewers as they are sited inside official dependencies. The art-works studied almost comprise the most important artists in Murcia during the twentieth century, and also include Antoni Tàpies and Bene Bergado self-portraits acquired by the regional institution. The works that have been analyzed are a faithful reflection of the different functions that self-portraits are able to show in the Art History.
