metalTIC – Hogar Digital es un proyecto empresa-universidad para la recreación de una vivienda con los últimos avances en las tecnologías y servicios del hogar digital. Incorpora un amplio abanico de tecnologías de control, tanto estándares como propietarias, cableadas e inalámbricas. El middleware de gestión permite la interoperabilidad entre todos ellos. Asimismo, toda su funcionalidad puede ser accedida mediante servicios web, abstrayendo de toda la tecnología subyacente y haciendo sencillo el trabajo de desarrolladores de nuevos servicios y, en particular, de interfaces persona-entorno. Se ha prestado especial atención a la vida asistida por el entorno, por lo que incorpora una amplia colección de interfaces que permiten la accesibilidad al entorno del hogar de personas con diferentes capacidades.
metalTIC – Hogar Digital is a joint private sector-university for the simulation of a home with the latest advances in technologies and services for the smart homes. It Incorporates a wide range of control technologies, both standard and proprietary, wired and wireless. The middleware for its management enables the interoperability between all of them. Also, all its functionality can be accessed through Web services, abstracting from all the underlying technology and making easier the work of developers of new services and, in particular, of person-environment interfaces. Special attention has been paid to ambient assisted living, so it includes an extensive collection of interfaces that allow accessibility to the home of people with different abilities.
