Abstract: 
El objetivo de este trabajo se dirige a analizar el contenido de los mensajes de pacientes de diversas comunidades virtuales a través del tiempo para examinar si se producen cambios positivos en el estado de ánimo y en el uso de términos de carácter emocional. La muestra está compuesta por 29 participantes que han enviado 368 mensajes a foros relacionados con enfermedades específicas (anorexia, diabetes, fibromialgia, psoriasis y SIDA). Se recopilaron los mensajes durante 6 meses y se analizó el con-tenido a través de un programa informatizado (LIWC). Los resultados mostraron un aumento en la frecuencia de mensajes en función del tiempo. Asimismo se encontraron diferencias significativas en el número de expresiones con contenido emocional. Estos cambios en la forma de expresarse, podrían ser un reflejo de cambios más profundos relativos al ajuste de los pacientes a su condición a través del tiempo.
The objective of this work this focused to analyze the content of the messages of patient of virtual communities through the time to examine the positive changes in the state of spirit and in the terms of emotional character. The sample is composed by 29 participants who have sent 368 messages to forums related to specific diseases (anorexia, diabetes, fibromyalgia, psoriasis and AIDS). The messages were compiled during 6 months and the content through a computerized program was analyzed (LIWC). The findings suggest an increase in the frequency of messages based on the time. Also were significant differences in the number of expressions with emotional content. These expression changes, they could belong a reflection of relative deeper changes to the adjustment from the patients to their condition through the time.
