Abstract: | Objetivo principal: determinar los cambios más importantes experimentados en el plano académico y en el laboral por los Practicantes en Medicina y Cirugía durante la dictadura de Miguel Primo de Rivera. Metodología: estudio retrospectivo de corte histórico basado en el análisis documental de fuentes archivísticas, hemerográficas y bibliográficas. Resultados principales: se dictaron normas para perseguir el intrusismo; se logró la clasificación de plazas titulares; se creó la Escuela Nacional de Sanidad para la formación técnica del personal sanitario; se consiguieron importantes mejoras a nivel educativo, como el título de bachiller elemental para iniciar los estudios de practicante; se concedió la jornada máxima de ocho horas a los practicantes; se crearon los primeros Comités paritarios para practicantes y; se alcanzó la colegiación oficial obligatoria. Conclusión principal: La clase de Practicantes en Medicina y Cirugía desde el principio mostró sus simpatías hacia el nuevo régimen, y vio cumplidas muchas de sus reivindicaciones, algunas solicitadas desde antaño. | Aim: To identify the most important academic and professional changes experienced by the Practicante in Medicine and Surgery profession during Miguel Primo de Rivera’s dictatorship. Methodology: Historical research was conducted, based on the documentary analysis of archive, periodical and bibliographic sources. Results: Professional intrusion was prosecuted through guidelines; tenure positions were assigned; the National Health School was created with the aim of training healthcare personnel; academic improvements were achieved, including the essential requirement of being a secondary school graduate prior to registering as a Practicante student; a maximum working day of 8 hours was implemented; joint practicante committees were created; compulsory professional registration was approved. Conclusion: The Practicante in Medicine and Surgery profession demonstrated its sympathy for the new political regime, which resulted in the granting and recognition of many of their (some very old) claims. |
