Discapacidad, universidad e incorporación al mundo laboral

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo específico conocer y comparar las expectativas laborales de los estudiantes con y sin discapacidad. La muestra fue seleccionada por conveniencia, y la formaron 1316 alumnos procedentes de la universidad de Alicante. De ellos, 123 indicaron tener discapacidad. Se utilizó un cuestionario elaborado para el estudio en formato tipo Likert. Los resultados indican que los estudiantes con discapacidad se decantan prioritariamente por expectativas materiales y muestran mayor desencanto por los estudios, por el contrario, aparecen otras expectativas sociales. Esto refleja una mayor desmotivación cuando se plantean las posibilidades futuras con los estudios elegidos.

This study specifically aims to know and compare the employment prospects of students with and without disabilities. The sample was selected by convenience, and formed 1,316 students from the University of Alicante. Of these, 123 said that they had disabilities. A questionnaire developed for the study in Likert format was used. Results indicate that students with disabilities are primarily opt for materials show greater expectations and disenchantment with the studies, by contrast, appear other social expectations. This reflects a greater motivation when considering future possibilities with elected by college studies.
