El ciclo vital de los esclavos en el Cádiz de la modernidad

Abstract

Durante los siglos XVII y XVIII Cádiz se convierte en uno de los principales núcleos esclavistas españoles, y estos esclavos tuvieron que empezar una nueva existencia totalmente diferente de la de sus lugares de origen. Este trabajo pretende acercarse a su ciclo vital, analizando sus comportamientos matrimoniales, la incidencia de la natalidad ilegítima, y su muerte.

During the seventeenth and eighteenth Cadiz becomes one of the main Spanish slave cores, and these slaves had to start a new life totally different from their places of origin. This paper intends to approach their life cycle, analyzing their behavior marriage, the incidence of illegitimate birth, and their birth.
