dc.description.abstract | This work discusses simplifying and erroneus a literary historiography of factions, and that establishes the existence of two literary traditions in Peru: the first, Creole, of Lima and conservative; and the second, racially mixed and indigenous, provincial and progressive. Ricardo Palma’s image rejects as(like) colonialist that re-lives through the past and makes it in force as strong and fertile tradition. The Traditions inaugurate a national as liberating literature of the past, literature compromised with the project to modernize the ex-colonies. The Traditions assume politically the mission that in the European world fulfilled the historiography of the Illustration. | en |
