Abstract: | A solved example for the determination of the increment in enthalpy for the energy balances for open systems in the context of chemical engineering is presented. The example shows how to tackle this kind of problems when it has been decided not to make use of the enthalpy of the reaction. The substances elements will be used as reference state. |
