Una biografia pendent

Abstract

A partir de les dades disponibles sobre la biografia d’Enric Valor, l’autor en dóna una visió de conjunt, repassant la trajectòria vital, cívica i cultural de l’escriptor, des de la fi de la infantesa fins a la postguerra, posant sobretot l’accent en les experiències per ell viscudes a Elda i Alacant, posant l’accent en la formació i en els estímuls que van condicionar o fer possible la personalitat del personatge biografiat, o més ben dit: encara a biografiar, perquè l’autor reclama això: que s’escriga una biografia, tan completa i documentada com es puga fer, d’Enric Valor. Partint de la constatació que la informació disponible és, ara mateix, interessant i valuosa però insuficient, l’autor es limita a remarcar alguns fets biogràfics i proposar-ne algunes explicacions que ens permeten entendre l’home i la seua obra, tant intel·lectual com cívica.

Basing on available data, the author give us an overview of Enric Valor’s life, describing his life, civic and cultural trajectory, from the end of his childhood until the Spanish Post-war period. He focuses on the experiences Enric Valor lived in Elda and Alicante, highlighting his education and the events that shaped and made possible the personality of the biographied person (i.e. Valor), actually, of the person to be biographied. Because the paper’s author demands exactly that, that a biography of Valor, as complete and documented as possible, should be written. Arguing that the current available information is interesting and valuable, but insufficient, the author just remarks some biographical facts and suggests some explanations that allow us to understand the man and his work, the intellectual as well as the civic one.
