Políticas agrarias, eficiencia socioeconómica y retos de futuro en los regadíos intensivos

Abstract

Los regadíos españoles, que suman alrededor de 3.400.000 ha, ofrecen grandes diferencias en los consumos de agua, sistemas de riego, repercusiones ambientales, eficiencia socioeconómica y perspectivas de futuro. Mientras que los regadíos extensivos se han visto favorecidos por las ayudas PAC, los intensivos se han especializado en la producción de hortalizas y frutales que compiten libremente en los mercados internacionales. Se analiza la repercusión de las políticas agrarias y de los factores de mercado, en la eficiencia social y económica del uso del agua en los regadíos españoles, principalmente en los intensivos. También se presenta un balance de las ventajas y dependencias que ofrecen los cultivos intensivos de vocación exportadora.

The Spanish irrigations, which add up about 3.400.000 ha, they offer big differences in the consumptions of water, systems of irrigation, environmental repercussions, socioeconomic efficiency and perspectives of future. Whereas the extensive irrigations have met favored by the CAP aids, the intensive ones they have specialized themselves in the production of vegetables and fruits that compete freely on the international markets. This study analyzes the repercussion of the political agrarian ones and of the markets in the social and economic efficiency of the use of the water in the intensive irrigations. There is realized a balance of the advantages and dependences that offer the intensive irrigations of exporting vocation.
