Abstract: Until recently, no anaphora resolution projects had looked at the multilingual aspects of the approaches that have been developed, or, in particular, how a specific approach could be used or adapted for other languages. In contrast to previous work in the field, this paper describes a multilingual anaphora resolution approach which was initially developed and evaluated for English, but we have also adapted and evaluated it for Polish and Arabic. The first results are very promising with success rates of around 90% and over.
