La donna angelicata andina en la poesía de la vanguardia histórica peruana

Abstract

El artículo trata de la influencia de la figura mítica de Beatriz, a través del arquetipo de la donna angelicata, en algunas imágenes femeninas de la poesía de la vanguardia histórica peruana. A éstas las denominamos «andinas» de manera general, como señal de su trasvase al campo cultural peruano. Demostramos que los poetas analizados sienten la necesidad de erigir una figura femenina autóctona como una forma de revalorar la belleza y la dignidad de la mujer andina y, a través de ella, a la cultura, la lengua y el paisaje peruano frente al discurso hispánico hegemónico de comienzos del siglo XX.

The article looks at the influence of the mythical character of Beatriz, through the archetype of donna angelicata, in some of the feminine figures of the poetry from the Peruvian historical avant-guard. These are called «Andeans» in a general way, filtering through to Peruvian culture. We show that the analysed poets feel the need to create a native feminine figure as a way of revalue the beauty and the dignity of the Andean woman and, through it, to the culture, the language and the Peruvian scenery against the predominant Spanish discourse of the beginning of the twentieth century.
