Sobre o sistema mundial e a construção de alternativas

Abstract

As transformações estruturais da economia mundial e as mudanças na cultura política das sociedades condicionam a relação das pessoas com a esfera da política. Neste sentido, ao explorarmos as alternativas que se produzem no sistema mundial, recorrendo a vários contributos da investigação sociológica e política, pretende-se contribuir para a reflexão em torno das dificuldades e das potencialidades que os recentes movimentos sociais alternativos apresentam. Pretende-se explorar os diferentes comportamentos sociais que se expressam na ação coletiva e expor as dificuldades da imaginação política que condicionam a construção de um pensamento crítico alternativo.

The structural transformations of the world economy and the changes in the political culture of society have conditioned the relations between people and the sphere of politics. In that sense, by exploring the alternatives that are produced in the worldwide system, and resorting to various contributions of sociological and political investigation, this article aims at contributing to the reflection around the difficulties and potential presented by the recent alternative social movements. Furthermore, its purpose is to explore the different social behaviours that are expressed in collective action and to expose the difficulties of political imagination that condition the construction of an alternative critical thought.
